The first is crocheting as I have always fancied wrapping up in a blanket made of lots of granny squares.
The second is scrapbooking as it is something that seems to have come a long way since the little girl version of me snipped magazine and newspaper cuttings of Charles' and Diana's wedding many years ago.
I recently had the opportunity to try out the "My Memories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software" which is available on disc or as a download which is fantastic if you are a customer from outside the US. The software is available worldwide to both Mac and PC users.
"My Memories" allows you to create beautiful digital scrapbooks in minutes using their professionally designed templates. If you are feeling confident you can create your own designs from scratch yourself using over 1,500 papers and 1,000 elements and more than thirty album templates. The choice is amazing! You can even add music, narration, video or add the internet to your creations and share them through multimedia or print.
"My Memories" also offers a large selection of free digital scrapbooking downloads to enable you to increase your design kit for absolutely nothing. If you are anything like me you'll want to download them all! If you are stuck there is a scrapbooking forum where you can ask for help from other scrapbookers new and old, and there is also the "My Memories Blog" where you can keep up to date with the latest news and offers. There are also scrapbooking tutorials on the site and a Weekly Challenge where you can get ideas, show off your work and win a prize!
Now, I have often seen the most beautiful ideas and designs but seem to be somewhat challenged in the scrapbooking creativity department myself. I still managed to come up with this though...
My first ever digital scrapbook page using the My Memories Suite software
So it's not fantastic or the best design ever. In fact it's very basic but it was great fun to do and I think I have potential, no? I do know that I will be downloading some scrapbooking freebies and practising my skills. I might even set a challenge, what do you think?
"My Memories Suite" are offering my readers $10 off the cost of the "My Memories Digital Scrapbooking Software" plus a $10 coupon for the My Memories store.
To take advantage of the offer simply add the software to your basket and enter the following code during the checkout process: STMMMS69859. Remember, you can download the software immediately from the site so you can take advantage of this offer no matter where you are in the world.
