And another one bites the dust

Another month, that is.

June is almost over. In case you hadn't noticed.

I haven't checked but it's probably one of, if not the quietest month blog-post-wise for a while.

The quietest ever?

I haven't been idle though. I've had to remind myself of that when I felt a sudden pang of guilt at my lack of posting.

Let me think what we've been up to this month...

We celebrated Oliver's first birthday...

... which he really...

..

... really...

...enjoyed.

Then we did this...

which you can find...

 or

Where I've been busy making things like...

... and patterns for you to make this...

... and this...

Do come along and take a look, won't you?  Oh and spread the word because you know how much I'd appreciate it.  And if you'd like a lovely one of these...

... for your blog or website please let me know!

Of course, we also got two baby bunnies

{Imagine picture here - I will get one soon, promise!}

Which seem to be a little older than we were led to believe.  Looks like baby bunnies may be on the way seeing as the vet appointment on Thursday is a few days too late.

Bad, bad bunnies.

We had a scan at the hospital which showed that everything with little one is going well.

{Imagine scan picture here - I will scan one in soon, promise!}

Nothing to worry about and we can enjoy the rest of the pregnancy!

 Yay!

Oh and they moved my due date forward by a week.  Whoo-hoo!  Which now makes me 27 weeks tomorrow,  in case you were wondering.  And a new due date of September 30th!

Then we had Caitlin and Harry's First Holy Communion...

... had a reunion with an old friend and her lovely family...

{insert photo here... I'm not very good at this am I?}

Actually, this is the second reunion Amanda and I have had in the last couple of months.  BUT, we hadn't seen each other for almost 20 years.  It was lovely seeing them all again.  Especially since they brought chocolate.

Really lovely!

Can't wait to see them again!

Had another visitor in the form of my chief cousin.  Chief because she's the oldest of the cousins.  She doesn't look it. My grey hair felt self-concious.  Some people you can't help but like, even if they do look pretty darned good.  *Sigh*.

Then a couple of days ago we celebrated Paddy's birthday...

He's the loveliest, cheekiest little three year old I know.  He's struggling to be independent.  Sometimes a bit too much.  Doesn't he know it'll come soon enough?  Why can't he just stay my baby?

And what three year old doesn't enjoy a trip to the farm?

Actually, we all enjoyed it.  We do love a farm.  Just wish we had one of our own that's all.

*Sigh*.

Oh and while I'm *sigh*-ing... in the space of two weeks we had to replace the dishwasher (ouch!), the minibus (OUCH!) and now the tumble dryer has broken down.

So you see, not idle at all.

Honest!

Feeling creative?

Here is the new quilt design I've been working on.  The pattern is available to buy over at our shop and our Etsy store too.  Wholesale enquiries are welcome :-)

And if you like it but don't fancy making it yourself I'll be happy to make it to order for you.

The PERFECT trip

I'm not a partygoer.

I'm not a big drinker. I may have a tipple once or twice a year but not very often at all. Unless cooking with alcohol counts, in which case I may have a problem and need to sign up with AA. Otherwise, not really.

I'm a homebody.

I like knowing where I am, who I'm with and being comfortable.

I'm a long way from who I was ten or twenty years ago.

I like it.

My two favourite things are chocolate and quilting. Actually, if you know me, you'll know I have three favourite things. Chocolate, quilting and ice cream. I can always be easily bribed with anything to do with any of those three things.

Try it.

Go on!

Yesterday I booked a little getaway for the family. What went from originally being a trip for me and Caitlin has now turned into a family affair.

And boy oh boy am I looking forward to it!

Because our little two day trip is going to be made up of a visit to the Festival of Quilts follwed by a day at Cadbury World!

As Fred Astaire sang, "Heaven, I'm in heaven....!"

Oh my goodness me, I'm so excited!

A day at the largest quilt festival in Europe and a day surrounded by chocolate!

Do you think I'm sad and boring?

Actually, don't answer that.

Do you want to come along with me?

If you send me chocolate, ice cream or fabric (especially this one... or this one... or some of this) I'll take you along with me. Well, I'll take my camera and laptop.

And I'll blog about it.

And show you chocolate.

And quilts.

But now I feel some product research needing to be done.

Kids and honesty

Recently there came a study which said that children who were good liars at age 2 would grow to become successful adults.

I, for one, wonders who on earth conducts this research, why they have to research stuff like this in the first place and what the excuse for spending so much when the world is in such economic turmoil is.

Anyway.

My point.

Harry's workbook asked the question, "Name a time you were honest.".

Harry's answer: "I was honest when I said Cait was ugly.".

So there you go.

Isn't the love between siblings great?

Sometimes.

Announcing...!

I can finally reveal the reason I've been so quiet!

For the last couple of months I've been beavering away on a little project. It's been a real labour of love but now, at last, it's ready to show to the world.

Not only have I been busy making and creating but I've also been working on everything else on getting our two new babies up and running.

I can tell you that there's A LOT of work involved!

Who knew?!

Anyway, I would love your support so please spread the word.  I don't expect we'll become multi millionaires but I just want to be able to sell something!
