Happy 4th Birthday, Eddie!

You were born at 11.15am on New Years Eve 2004. The nurses ran into our room at midnight to wish us a Happy New Year, and together you and I listened to the fireworks outside and I smiled to think of all the fun you'd have on your birthdays when you were older. I couldn't imagine a better way of seeing in the New Year.



You were only fifteen days old when my nan died the day before we planned to take you over to visit her for the first time. It still makes me so sad that she never got to see you and what a perfect, handsome little thing you were.

We soon got to see the big, beautiful smile...



... which sometimes gave way to this face instead...



You loved dancing...



...until you dropped...



... and you've always loved dressing up...



You love being a younger brother...



... and an older brother...



... and you always, always, love to help ...



How did you get to grow up so fast?
